With Chinese New Year just around the corner, it’s time to start making your restaurant reservations especially if you fancy to have an authentic Chinese cuisine. Yumiqi would be our pick as they serve authentic Shunde cuisine. Shunde is a district in Guangdong, China province dontcha’ know.
One of speciality dishes of the region includes the tantalising roasted standing chicken. Marinated in a special recipe sauce, it’s then roasted to perfect tenderness leaving and ensuring the skin is crisp. You will taste the juiciness and essence of the chicken is in every single bite.
Do also try the seafood pot – served in huge copper pot (the Chinese traditional way of cooking). This is similar to cooking it like in steamboat restaurants and you will have the option of selecting the type of seafood from fresh fish to prawns, clams, lobster and even roasted pork belly that’s then added to the soup that will thicken and sweeten once boiled and mix with your seafood selection.
We also suggest adding the pan fried pancake to your order. Very light and simple. My favourite is the pan fried dough mixed with chives. Somehow very addictive.
Another type of pancake includes it being a good sweet ending to a great meal. Filled with sugar and peanuts – it is crispy and very addictive as well.
Just make sure you make your reservation in advance.
