The Fifth Province
When? September 26, 2014
What is it? Genuine Irish Pub & Restaurant with a strong focus on good wine, craft beer and live music.
Who’s behind it? The owners are Liam Ganley and Paddy Walsh. Two Young lads from Galway with a vision of how Irish pubs should really be represented abroad. The head Chef is Kerrianne McConville, who is a self proclaimed ‘feeder’. No nonsense pub grub with a fine dining aspect.
Size? The quaint restaurant holds 30. The bar holds another 170 people.
What’s on the Menu? The food at The Fifth Province can simply be described as ‘homely’. All food is locally sourced and the essence of Irish food that revolves around the home is what their chefs spend every day re-creating, a home away from home dining experience.
Steaks too are locally sourced. Grilled on a open flame, and all you have to choose is your spud – which they have eight to choose from. Also expect the famous Kilpatrick oysters, the simply Natural and their own Guinness oyster or for something more hearty – Chowder, with a selection of local seafood – salmon, tiger prawns, mussels, pips, poached with prosciutto in a light white wine cream and served with house made brown bread.
