What is it? Miss Fitzy’s is St Kilda’s newest dining and bar destination, with a focus on showcasing the best local produce and mouth-watering dishes from the kitchen and the bar. With a paddock-to-plate philosophy, Miss Fitzy’s has a French fair with distinctive Spanish style.
Who is behind it? Owners -Paul Laver, Lachy Cashman and Zack Baala. Paul has previously been bar manager at Peroni Bar, Catani Bar, Le Monde. Head Chef is Lachy Cashman (Circa, Salsa Port Douglas, Sloaney Pony) who did his apprenticeship at Michael’s Riverside Restaurant in Brisbane and also worked at Olivetto’s in Brisbane. He trained as a butcher to learn how to smoke and cure meats.
Size? Miss Fitzy’s boasts four main spaces. Diners can choose to dine inside or on cosmopolitan Fitzroy St. Seats up to 96 inside & 66 outside.
What’s on the menu? The menu has been created with sharing in mind. There are sharing plates, family style shared mains, main courses and Miss Fitzy’s also has a bar menu. Signature dishes include grilled Robbins Island Wagyu bavette steak, herbs, potato and quail egg (only place in Australia to boast the Robbins Island Wagyu bavette) and Cape Grim Black Angus 2+ tri tip, charred onions, roasted carrots, duck fat potato.
