Acme South

BBQ central with Southern American soul food.

Acme South5

Ditch the diet plan in favour of dude food with Louisianan soul food and Texan slow-cooked meats from the team behind the city centre’s popular Acme coffee bar. This all-day Southern American eatery moves from casual brunch spot to glitzy-meets-gritty evening venue serving slabs of meat that have been rubbed with spices before being hickory-smoked for 12 hours and served on no-frills metal trays. A selection of authentic sides include beef brisket sliders, battered cheese grits, hush puppies (golden-fried nuggets of cornmeal) and mac n cheese, while gumbo, jambalaya and po’ boy take you to the heart of New Orleans. Note: it’s a pork-free venue.
