When? November 16, 2015

What is it? This is the return of The Butlers Wharf Chop House Bar. Those exploring the River Thames south bank will welcome back the Bar and its new no-frills menu where simple, delicious British fare takes centre stage.

Who’s behind it? D&D

Size? Boasting a spacious, heated terrace with unparalleled views of Tower Bridge and the City, The Butlers Wharf Chop House Bar & Grill is an ideal spot for after-work drinks or an informal date. Riding the capital’s gin trend, the bar’s mission is to keep it local and celebrate small-scale producers, including Jensen of Bermondsey.

What’s on the Menu? Simplicity is king and the menu presents all-time favourites such as Spiced parsnip soup, sippets and chives; Potted chicken livers, orange & port jelly, half pint tankard of shell on prawns; a heart-warming Cottage Pie or seasonal dishes including Cornish mackerel, roast pumpkin, caper & shallot dressing. For those who prefer a swifter bite, the Bar will also serve a Lunch Sandwich with free range chicken, watercress on granary and triple cooked chips or a Dry aged 200 gr. Scotch rump steak. There will also be a regularly changing set menu available priced exceptionally well at £12.50 for 2 courses and £15.50 for 3 courses
