Who’s behind Bold Spirits London?
Frustrated by the lack of naturally-flavoured bitter spirits, bartender Tomas Lenko embarked to create something truly special and unique: new tools for bartenders like himself to use to elevate their next liquid masterpiece. Led by passion and inspired by quintessential British flavours, Tomas’ experience and patience was put to the test, working with all natural, yet complex flavours. Cherries were a childhood favourite, and with the varieties available in England, a perfect balance with 15 carefully selected floral botanicals was achieved, resulting in Bold London Spirit.
Where did it all start?
Tomas was born and raised in the foothills of the Tatras mountains of Slovakia, where he grew up making calvados and wine with his family. Having harvested summer fruits as a child, he would then help his father and uncles produce large vats of spirits to last every celebration for that year, from every christening, birthday, wedding, and more. Tom developed his skills as a bartender in London, winning awards and accolades along the way, and carving a name for himself in the world of mixology over the last 10 years. Whether it was at the bar, or at home, his passion to create new flavours using botanicals drove him to begin experimenting with barrel-aged cocktails. Rather than using Angostura bitters, it was while he was creating a bitter to wash his wooden barrels that Bold London Spirit was born serendipitously. The Bold (‘Barrel-aged OLD’) brand will always be associated with strong, complex flavours, created out of natural and seasonal British ingredients.
What sets Bold Spirits London apart?
Bold London Spirit is a powerful, smooth, but ever so slightly, bitter spirit at 36% ABV. Similar to the production of gin, distilled neutral grain spirit is infused with tart sour cherries, 15 botanicals and cassia bark to add a hint of bitterness. The overall result is a rich cherry spirit with a beautifully warm, rounded spiciness and a delicate floral bite. It awakens the taste buds and wets the palate of the discerning drinker, and more scientifically, hits the bitter receptors along the tongue and gastrointestinal tract.

- 10mL Campari
- 30mL Bold London Spirit
- 20mL gin
- 20mL sweet vermouth
- 1 bar spoon Luxardo maraschino cherry syrup
Gentle stir with ice and serve in rock glass with orange twist & cherry.
