We’re are talking about some real fried chicken. Korean fried chicken in fact. It’s crispy, crackly and with flavours bursting in your mouth – what’s not to like?
The Chicken House at Mont Kiara Solaris serves one of the best fried chicken wings around in Kuala Lumpur. It is different from the local (Malaysian) fried chicken which is usually marinated in herbs and spices and deep fried. The Chicken House serves its fried chicken layered with different sauces that are to die for.
We tried the Korean fried chicken – one serve with the spicy sweet sauce and the other with soy garlic. Our personal favorite was the soy garlic with its sweet taste and fried crispy garlic bits. Each fried chicken is served together with cubes of pickled white radish which is a nice offset to the spicy/sweetness of the accompanying sauces.
To ensure the other items on the menu were as good as the chicken, we also had the military soup – it comes with a mixture of spam (you watch, this will be a running theme of our reviews), a nice variety of different types of mushrooms, tofu, sausages and kimchi of course! If you’re adverse to chilli spice the korean Chili paste is served separately so you can adjust the level of spiciness.
